Playing around
The Universal Penman

I've been playing around a little with my new pen. Pointed pens are really hard to manage and I've never been very good at copperplate letters, but to my surprise, this old pen still writes as smooth as silk. The shaft is wooden and marked "Made in Poland" on the back with a steel nib labled "Copernicus Varsovie." So far, my attempts to learn more about the pen have come up empty, but I'm going to keep trying. An engraving of an instructional text by W. Kippax

And I think I'll give Copperplate another try.
A very amateur attempt at a simple copperplate hand. Definitely needs work, but the pen is fantastic and makes me think I can do it!
